Project Manager/Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager/Estimator to lead construction projects from initial bid through completion. This role combines the strategic aspects of project estimation with the hands-on coordination of construction activities, including submittals and material procurement. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of earthwork and utility construction. Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, schematics, and project specifications using tools such as B2W Construction estimating software.
• Develop detailed project schedules to insure timely completion of all phases.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to align project goals, scope, and timelines.
• Oversee construction site activities to ensure adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and progress reports.
• Monitor project progress through regular site visits; adjust schedules as needed for unforeseen challenges.
• Lead project meetings to facilitate communication among all stakeholders, ensuring clarity on scope, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Control costs by analyzing bids, managing budgets, and minimizing waste while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills

• Proven experience in construction estimating with proficiency in B2W or equivalent software.
• Strong knowledge of construction management software such as ProCore and Textura for project documentation and collaboration.
• Expertise in project scheduling for civil projects; ability to develop realistic timelines.
• Solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, contracts, and construction site operations.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating teams, clients, and vendors across various projects.
• Familiarity with construction management principles including safety protocols, quality control, and site logistics.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately; experience with Construction site experience is a plus. Pay: $62,400.00 - $78,000.00 per year

Experience:

• construction mgmt with emphasis in earthwork and utilities: 2 years (Preferred)
