Job Purpose:
To plan, execute, monitor, and deliver infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, buildings, or civil works) within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure smooth project flow.
- Review technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications for compliance.
2. Budget and Cost Control:
- Prepare project budgets and monitor expenditure.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage variations.
- Approve contractor invoices and track financial progress.
3. Team Management:
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team of engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct regular progress meetings and resolve on-site issues.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all construction works meet quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and authorities for inspections and approvals.
- Implement and monitor QA/QC and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures.
5. Stakeholder Coordination:
- Act as the main point of contact between client, consultants, and contractors.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to management and clients.
- Manage communication and handle change requests professionally.
6. Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Address and resolve delays, conflicts, and technical challenges efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in infrastructure or civil construction projects.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects (roads, utilities, drainage, or site development).
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (Primavera / MS Project).
