About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Planner to support the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing project schedules, tracking progress, forecasting timelines, and ensuring all activities remain aligned with project goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Scheduling
- Develop comprehensive project schedules, timelines, and work breakdown structures.
- Prepare project planning documents including Gantt charts, resource plans, and sequencing schedules.
- Assist in defining project scope, milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Forecast project timelines and adjust schedules as required.
Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, site supervisors, and contractors to gather planning data.
- Maintain effective communication between all project stakeholders to ensure clarity on timelines and deliverables.
- Participate in planning meetings and maintain updated project documentation.
Monitoring & Tracking
- Track daily and weekly progress of construction activities against the master schedule.
- Identify potential delays and support the team in developing mitigation plans.
- Monitor resource allocation and highlight shortages, overlaps, or inefficiencies.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare regular progress reports, schedule updates, and variance analyses for management.
- Maintain complete records of drawings, schedules, revisions, and planning logs.
- Present schedule impacts and recommendations when project deviations occur.
Compliance & Quality Coordination
- Ensure planned activities adhere to project quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Assist in conducting site visits to validate progress against planned timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in planning or scheduling within the construction sector.
- Proficiency in project planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation abilities.
- Experience with Bahria Town & DHA or similar large-scale development projects is a plus.
