Project Planning Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Project Planning Engineer to handle project scheduling, progress monitoring, and coordination across all project stages. The role requires strong planning skills, technical understanding, and the ability to ensure projects are completed within timelines and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules based on scope and timelines
• Define activities, sequencing, durations, and milestones
• Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly
• Compare planned vs actual progress and highlight variances
• Identify delays, risks, and prepare mitigation or recovery plans
• Track critical path activities and ensure timely completion
• Coordinate with site team, engineering, procurement, and management
• Ensure smooth communication and workflow between departments
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
• Generate S-curves, progress charts, and dashboards
• Monitor resource allocation including manpower, materials, and equipment
• Support cost tracking and project control activities
• Assist in delay analysis and preparation of extension of time (EOT) claims

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
• 2–5+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling
• UAE experience preferred

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling
• Experience in Primavera P6 or similar tools
• Understanding of baseline schedule, critical path, and float
• Ability to prepare progress reports and S-curves
• Familiarity with construction / steel fabrication projects
