Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Project or Site QA/QC Manager - Mechanical to lead and oversee all Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions across our EPC Oil & Gas projects. This strategic role is responsible for guiding the quality function, implementing robust Quality Management Systems (QMS), and ensuring strict compliance with both international and client-specific standards—especially those of ADNOC and Saudi Aramco standards.
The ideal candidate will champion the organization’s commitment to quality by collaborating with senior leadership, project teams, and key stakeholders to embed a culture of excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering background.
Experience:
- Minimum 20+ years of QA/QC experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects
- At least 5 years in a QA/QC managerial or lead PQS role.
- Strong working knowledge of ADNOC and Saudi Aramco standards and specifications is highly preferred
- Extensive understanding of ASME, API, ISO 9001, and other relevant international codes and standards
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for QA/QC across all projects
- Develop and enforce the company’s Quality Policy and Quality Objectives
- Represent the company in high-level quality-related matters and ensure compliance with all quality policies
- Foster a company-wide culture of quality, customer focus, and continuous improvement
Quality Management System (QMS)
- Maintain and enhance the Documentum-based QMS, ensuring timely updates of all corporate documentation
- Ensure all QMS structures, procedures, and resources meet business, client, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee the consistent and effective implementation of the QMS across corporate and project functions
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure company-wide compliance with ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, ISO 9001, ASME, API, and other applicable standards
- Assign and coordinate QA/QC resources across disciplines (Mechanical, Welding, NDE, Civil, E&I)
- Lead vendor and subcontractor audits and assessments to verify quality systems and compliance
Project & Procurement Support
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures supporting procurement, construction, and fabrication activities
- Conduct site audits and subcontractor evaluations as part of the selection and approval process
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure Quality Plans are aligned with client and regulatory expectations
Monitoring, Auditing & Reporting
- Establish, track, and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership
- Identify and audit critical QMS areas to drive improvements and ensure compliance
- Issue Quality Alerts on significant deviations or risks affecting project deliverables
Continuous Improvement
- Lead investigations into non-conformances and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Drive internal process improvements based on audits, client feedback, and performance metrics
- Support optimization and validation of delivery processes to enhance project outcomes
People Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the QA/QC team across projects and departments
- Develop and implement competency development plans to strengthen quality talent
- Conduct regular departmental meetings to align objectives and promote a performance-driven culture
Budget & Resource Planning
- Develop and manage QA/QC departmental budgets
- Ensure adequate quality resources are planned and allocated across all project phases
