Job Purpose:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Project management activities, ensuring successful execution of assigned projects from contract handover to delivery and customer acceptance. The Section Head is responsible for guiding project engineers, reviewing technical deliverables, and ensuring compliance with technical standards, customer requirements, and project timelines. The role supports the Project Manager by ensuring operational execution, effective cross-functional coordination, and proactive resolution of technical and operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support project engineers in planning and executing transformer projects.

Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project schedules and departmental standards.

Coordinate the execution of projects to ensure delivery within agreed timelines, cost, and quality requirements.

Monitor project activities, highlight risks, and escalate issues to the Project Manager when necessary.

Review and validate technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, technical submittals, and test plans.

Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, ANSI, IEEE) and customer specifications.

Participate in inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with clients and consultants.

Act as a key link between project engineering, design, production, procurement, quality, and logistics teams.

Ensure seamless communication and follow-up on deliverables across departments.

Act as a technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and suppliers on assigned projects.

Support the Project Manager in client meetings, progress reviews, and negotiations.

Identify and flag potential risks affecting cost, quality, or timelines.

Ensure adherence to corporate policies, quality standards, and safety requirements.
-
Encourage knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and process improvements within the section.

Support capability-building initiatives for project engineers.
Qualification & Education:
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Years of Experience: 7-10 years of experience, with at least 3 years in project engineering roles, preferably in the transformer or heavy electrical equipment sector.
Technical competencies:

Strong knowledge of power transformer engineering, testing, and production processes.

Proficiency in project scheduling and documentation review.

Familiarity with international standards (IEC, ANSI, IEEE).
