ABOUT THE ROLE
Devji Aurum Projects is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our growing Projects Department. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional with a strong background in interior design, construction project management, and procurement. You will serve as a vital link between design, execution, and client deliverables ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & Space Planning
- Prepare space planning layouts and coordinate design intent across all project phases
- Develop and review layout designs, elevations, and 3D renderings for client approvals
- Understand and interpret material catalogues to align design selections with project specifications
- Coordinate the design and integration of bespoke millwork, luxury jewelry display showcases, and specialized counter units.
- Source and inspect premium materials (marbles, custom metals, fabrics) to ensure they meet luxury brand standards.
Procurement, Tendering & BOQ
- Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ) with accuracy and attention to specification detail
- Coordinate and oversee the tendering process, including issuing tender documents to contractors and suppliers
- Conduct detailed comparisons and analysis of tender submissions to support informed decision-making
- Apply value engineering principles to optimize project costs without compromising quality
Project Execution & Monitoring
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, tracking milestones and critical path activities
- Conduct daily and weekly follow-ups with contractors, consultants, and site teams to ensure progress
- Monitor project variations (additions and deductions), maintaining accurate variation logs and cost impact assessments
- Coordinate with specialized vendors for boutique infrastructure, including high-security systems, vaults, and specialized retail lighting integration.
- Manage a meticulous site snag list to guarantee a zero-defect micro-finish on all high-end joinery and fixtures before handover.
Financial Control & Approvals
- Schedule and manage payment milestones in line with project progress and contract terms
- Follow up proactively with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders for approvals and payment releases
- Maintain clear records of all financial transactions, variation orders, and approval correspondence
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in project coordination, preferably in luxury retail fit-out or interior projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D rendering tools (e.g., SketchUp, 3Ds Max, or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of BOQ preparation, tendering processes, and value engineering
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, finishes, and supplier catalogues
- A strong technical understanding of detailed joinery/millwork drawings and craftsmanship is highly critical.
- Deep familiarity with luxury construction materials, detailed manufacturing, and specialized retail lighting principles.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and project management tools for scheduling and reporting
- Excellent communication, coordination, and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Experience working in Bahrain or the GCC region is an advantage
