Job Purpose

Responsible from concept design/engineering, documentation, procurement, manpower arrangement and costing until final commissioning and handover to the client.

Job Description

Jobholder will discharge the responsibilities within the policy guidelines and instructions given by Project Manager. Jobholder's recommendations are considered in the decision-making process. Jobholder takes decisions as per chart or authority and policy.

Key Accountability

• Controls project cost by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
• Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions to Project Manager. Liaises with third parties such as external contractors around time scales and working practices.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by listening and responding to team and client request.
• Maintains highest standard of safe and clean working environment by enforcing HSE policies; company rules and regulations.
• Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with NIGM management. Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviews bids from contractors. Ensures the project meets its deadlines at each stage.
• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates. Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests. Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems. Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
• Goes beyond analyzing factual information to develop a conceptual understanding of the meaning of a range of information. |Ability to integrate diverse themes and lines of reasoning to create new insights or levels of understanding for the issue at hand. |Thinks in terms of generalized models rather than concrete details.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering .

Experience:

• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in project engineering, construction or maintenance (Oil & Gas) .
• Experience in managing end-to-end projects, including planning, execution and handover.
• Proven track record in supervising technical teams, contractors and multi-disciplinary projects.

Certifications (Optional but Advantageous):

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
• Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) certification.
• Relevant technical certifications in engineering disciplines.

Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge in construction, maintenance and engineering processes.
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
