Job Description for Project Manager (Construction)

Desired Profile:

1. Must possess a minimum of 12 years of managing and successfully delivering building construction projects.

2. Good written and verbal communication skills.

3. Must be self‐motivated and punctual.

4. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. He will be responsible for overall management of multiple construction projects (planning and scheduling, budgeting, organize and plan site requirements).

2. Should have the ability and adequate construction works knowledge to monitor construction activities to ensure proper project completion.

3. Initiate and maintain liaison with sub-contractors and other agencies and contacts to facilitate project activities.

4. Oversee and provide guidance on projects to Junior Project Managers and site staff.

5. Work with Client, Head Office and Site Engineers to plan, organize and direct activities related to construction projects.

6. Must have the capability to Identify and mitigate potential delays that would occur in projects.

7. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications. Confer with supervisors and foremen to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.

8. Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on‐site engineers to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.

9. Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.

10. Oversee Procurement and movement of materials to complete project.

11. Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to site staff where required.

Education :

Bachelors of Technology in Civil Engineering from a well-recognized University.

Software Knowledge :

Microsoft Excel, Word. Knowledge of Microsoft Projects would be a plus.

Salary :

₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month based on relevant experience.
