Overview
The Project/Sales Engineer at ZAMTAS International plays a dual role—driving technical sales and ensuring smooth execution of projects. The role requires strong engineering knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle clients, site operations, and project planning from inception to successful handover.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify potential clients, markets, and business opportunities in industrial automation, entrance systems, and security solutions.
- Conduct client meetings, understand technical requirements, and propose suitable products.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, commercial offers, quotations, and product demonstrations.
- Follow up with clients on quotations, negotiations, and contract finalization.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
Project Management
- Plan, schedule, and manage installation projects from start to finish.
- Conduct site surveys, technical assessments, and feasibility evaluations.
- Coordinate with technicians, subcontractors, and procurement departments to ensure timely execution.
- Develop project schedules, method statements, work plans, and risk assessments.
- Monitor project progress, track timelines, and prepare weekly progress reports.
- Ensure successful installation, testing, commissioning, and customer handover.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare BOQs, technical datasheets, drawings, and site documentation.
- Maintain project records, installation reports, and service logs.
- Support management with insights, forecasting, and sales reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 1–5 years of experience in Projects, Sales, or Technical Engineering roles.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
