This opportunity is for a leading Energy & Gas giant in the UAE. As a Prompt Engineer within the Generative AI stream, you will be pivotal in unlocking the full potential of Large Language Models (LLMs). You will focus on designing, refining, and optimizing inputs to ensure our AI solutions deliver accurate, safe, and high-value outputs for enterprise use cases.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and refine complex prompts to optimize the performance of Large Language Models (LLMs) for specific business tasks.
• Develop systematic approaches to prompt engineering, creating libraries of reusable prompts for various enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with GenAI Developers to integrate optimized prompts into application workflows and chat interfaces.
• Evaluate model outputs against ground truth data to identify hallucinations or inaccuracies and iterate on prompt strategies to mitigate them.
• Work with domain experts to understand context and nuance, translating business needs into effective instruction sets for AI models.
• Stay updated on the latest techniques in prompt engineering (e.g., Chain-of-Thought, Tree-of-Thought) and apply them to internal projects.
• Monitor production model interactions to identify edge cases and continuously improve prompt robustness.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years.
• Strong understanding of LLM capabilities, limitations, and parameters (temperature, tokens, etc.).
• Experience with OpenAI APIs, Azure OpenAI Service, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and data analysis to evaluate prompt performance.
• Excellent linguistic skills and attention to detail, with the ability to craft precise and unambiguous instructions.
• Understanding of AI safety and ethical considerations in prompt design.

Bonus

• Experience with "jailbreaking" techniques (for defensive testing) and prompt injection security.
• Knowledge of Arabic NLP and prompting for multi-lingual models.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
