Reporting to the Controller – Properties, the Property Accountant will be responsible for general ledger accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of real estate assets and affiliated entities.
This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who is a strong communicator and collaborative team player. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, effectively manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
· Maintain books and records for a portfolio of multifamily, student housing, and commercial properties
· Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting
· Review accounts payable transactions and bank reconciliations
· Prepare monthly close packages
· Support treasury functions, including cash management and forecasting
· Prepare monthly financial close
· Assist in the preparation of operating budgets and reforecasts
· Analyze performance against budget and support variance analysis with Property Managers
· Develop cash flow projections and financial models
· Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial activity
· Support ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; other business disciplines with relevant coursework and experience will be considered
· 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience (real estate experience preferred)
· Experience with Yardi is a plus
· Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Collaborative team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
