Property Accountant
Duties:
Day to day property manager/asset manager for growing commercial real estate firm with a focus on:
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare final CAM and Tax reconcillations for Tenants and Building owners.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts
- Collaborate with property managers to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
- Work hand in hand with property managers on a daily basis.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial reports for property owners
- Provide support during annual audits and tax filings
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or related field
- Proficiency in Yardi or similar accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of financial management in the real estate industry is preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed financial analysis
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
