The Customer Service Representative (CSR) for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance plays a vital role in providing exceptional service and support to clients. This position is responsible for managing client relationships, processing policy changes, assisting with renewals, handling billing inquiries, and ensuring clients receive timely and accurate information about their insurance coverage. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and knowledgeable about P&C insurance products and agency operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Service & Support

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
  • Provide clear, accurate information regarding policy coverage, billing, and claims.
  • Process policy endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and renewals.
  • Assist clients in understanding their insurance options and coverage needs.

Policy Administration

  • Prepare quotes and proposals for new and renewal business.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system.
  • Verify policy information for accuracy and completeness before issuing documentation.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers on policy changes, billing adjustments, and claims updates.

Sales Support

  • Assist producers/agents with quoting, documentation, and marketing efforts.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell additional lines of coverage when appropriate.
  • Compliance & Quality Control
  • Ensure all transactions comply with agency procedures and insurance regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of client information.
  • Stay current on industry trends, carrier guidelines, and product updates.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Active 4-40 insurance license
  • Minimum 2 years of insurance customer service experience (agency or carrier)
  • Minimum 5 years of P&C experience preferred

Skills:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360, HawkSoft, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with a professional, client-first attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
