Property Management Coordinator

About The Role: BLDG is looking to hire a bilingual (Spanish/English) Management Coordinator. In this part-time, mornings-only role, you’ll work directly with our property management team as the first point of contact for residents and vendors. You’ll answer incoming calls, follow up with residents on delinquent balances, send notices, prepare lease renewals at the direction of a licensed agent, and coordinate with utility companies.

Who You Are: Reliability and integrity are the two most important things we’re looking for. You show up when you say you will, you do what you say you’ll do, and you handle resident information with professionalism and discretion. You’re comfortable on the phone and can keep composure with residents in both english and spanish. You’re detail-oriented, organized, and able to easily work with technology.

Primary Functions:

  • Answer incoming phone calls and take messages for the property management team.
  • Return voicemails and missed calls and follow up with residents.
  • Track and call residents with delinquent balances and updating system file notes.
  • Prepare and send lease renewals at the direction of a property manager.
  • Send property wide as well individual notices to residents and vendors at the direction of a property manager.
  • Call utility companies to manage accounts at the direction of a property manager.
  • Log every call, message, and notice in our property management software.

Job Location & Hours:

  • You will be required to work from our office in Humboldt Park between 9:00am and 1:00pm, Monday through Friday (20 hrs/week). Remote work may be approved as-needed with manager approval.

Top Candidates:

  • Have a background in customer service, retail, restaurant/server, collections/accounts receivable to agent or as an administrative assistant/receptionist.
  • Have an IL Real Estate Broker or Leasing License.
  • Associates degree or 3+ years of office or administrative work experience.

Requirements:

  • Native/Professional Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • You have a working cell phone.
  • You live in Chicago.
  • Associate’s Degree.
  • Have access to a reliable car or other mode of transportation.
  • Clean background check — no criminal history.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Starts at$18.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm;

Illinois Real Estate Compliance Note

Lease renewal terms, pricing, and document preparation are handled exclusively by our licensed leasing agents and managing brokers under the Illinois Real Estate License Act of 2000. Your role in renewals is clerical: preparing and transmitting documents that a licensed agent has approved. You won’t negotiate terms, set rents, interpret lease language, or give real estate advice to tenants. We will train you on exactly where this line sits. And after 12 months of employment, we sponsor your own Illinois leasing license training so you can grow into licensed real estate work over time.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
