Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential properties in New Milford. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, customer service, and legal compliance. This role requires effective communication skills, conflict management abilities, and a thorough understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. The Property Manager will be responsible for ensuring tenant satisfaction while maintaining the integrity and profitability of the properties.

Responsibilities of Property Manager

  • Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws.
  • Utilize property management software (PHA Web and OneSite).
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure maintenance standards are met.
  • Handle tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Oversee lease agreements, contracts, and negotiations with tenants.
  • Implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants and upsell available units.
  • Maintain accurate records of property activities, including financial reporting and maintenance requests using CMMS.
  • Collaborate with facilities management to coordinate repairs and improvements.

Requirements of Property Manager

  • Proven experience in property management.
  • Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of conflict management techniques and customer service principles.
  • Proficient in office procedures, phone etiquette, and administrative tasks.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
