Works under the direct supervision of the Police Shift Supervisor in the Administrative-Property/Evidence within the Police division. Responsible for receiving property and evidence such as stolen property, narcotics, firearms, stolen and lost money and homicide victims’ clothing from law enforcement officials; stores and releases property and evidence; assists police officers, deputies, other law enforcement agencies and the general public in providing information on property and evidence that is being held; prepares and maintains all files regarding items received, released and disposed of; testifies in court regarding chain of evidence when required; performs other related duties as assigned.
