This is a new and exciting opportunity to hold a core role in Chubb's underwriting team, based in Istanbul. This office forms part of the larger Eurasia & Africa Region at Chubb. You will have responsibility for the growth and maintenance of the Fire, Terrorism and Engineering Portfolio’s. You will proactively support, expand and bring enthusiasm to optimise our business, becoming part of an international specialist, with access to Chubb colleagues around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

• To be an integral member of the team that delivers the overall strategy for sustainable and profitable growth (by acquisition of new business and organic growth on existing programmes) within Fire, Terrorism and Engineering lines of business for Turkey and to maximise cross-selling opportunities within the region.
• To represent and promote Chubb at all levels; to Brokers, Cedents, Clients and to all other internal and external stakeholders
• To develop market awareness, provide flexible strategies to support changing market dynamics and to deliver outstanding service at all times
• To establish and deliver strong and consistent operational performance in respect of procedures, processes and controls including adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements
• To engage in and develop growth plans and improvement of profitability by reviewing the business operation and providing feedback to the Property and Tech. Lines Manager.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Technical knowledge of Fire and Engineering class of business
• Willingness to continue to develop both technical and broader business skills
• Results driven with an ability to work on own initiative and deliver results
• A professional who is recognised by the market that exudes all qualities encouraged of a Chubb Underwriter
• Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the insurance market and competitors.
• Proven experience of dealing with brokers and clients.
• Ability to make own decisions
Fluent English essential.
