StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Full-Time Proposal Coordinator to support our business development and proposal department in Lexington Park, MD. The Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and submission of competitive proposals, bids, and qualifications packages in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and related solicitations. The Proposal Coordinator will be responsible but not limited to the following requirements:
Duties Include:
  • Coordinates proposal schedules, deadlines, and submission requirements.
  • Maintains proposal calendars, checklists, and tracking systems.
  • Assists in preparing compliant proposal documents in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Collaborates with Proposal Managers, Business Development teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, human resources, technical staff, and leadership to gather proposal content.
  • Formats, edits, proofreads, and assembles proposal packages for submission.
  • Ensures proposals meet client requirements, branding standards, and compliance guidelines.
  • Manages document version control and file organization throughout the proposal lifecycle.
  • Supports proposal reviews, including color team reviews and final production.
  • Maintains and updates proposal libraries, resumes, project descriptions, and boilerplate content.
  • Coordinates printing, binding, electronic uploads, and final delivery of proposals.
  • Assists with post-submission activities and lessons learned documentation.
  • Supports business development and marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Identifies and researches potential opportunities via various government websites and presents findings to the Business Development Team for consideration based on capability fit.
  • Maintains business development systems and documentation to include the business development pipeline/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, marketing material, and capability briefings.
  • Maintains SharePoint repository of proposal documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
Experience Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in proposal coordination, managing pipelines, administration for government contracting or similar experience.
  • Proven organizational and project coordination skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience supporting government proposals preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
Desired Experience:
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, and proposal management software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of proposal lifecycle management and document control procedures.
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI tools to optimize proposal workflows, automate content drafting, and enhance technical narrative development.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, English, or related field preferred.
  • Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Security Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret or Top-Secret clearance, if required.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $76,000.00. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates level of knowledge, education, experience and skill sets. Eligible part-time employees are able to participate in the 401(k) retirement plans and may be eligible for state or contract required paid time off programs.
