Job Description

The Provider Relations Representative primarily handles communication and development for post-onboarding surgeon activities, and physician recruitment where applicable. One of the most important functions of the Provider Relations Representative is to promote surgeries at Prime facilities within a specifically defined geographic area to new and existing surgeons. The role is critical in developing and sustaining relationships with physicians, office staff and Prime Surgical Centers (PSC) and its affiliates. The Provider Relations Representative is responsible for targeting, developing, and strengthening of relationships between surgeons and stakeholders. In this position, the Provider Relations Representative will visit physician offices regularly with updates on patient care, past performance, and shareholder participation requirements. Secondarily, the Provider Relations Representative may focus on physician recruiting.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Proactively and effectively communicate with surgeons in order to manage evolving expectations, needs, and priorities
  • Build strong relationships with surgeon and office staff by acting as a trusted partner
  • Service and maximize potential with new and existing surgeons
  • Advise management of surgeons’ problems/issues and effectively outline a resolution
  • Adherence to established surgeon performance goals and objectives
  • Act as a liaison between the surgeon’s office, Prime MSO, and PSCs
  • Maintain and update surgeon information to all associated parties
  • Ability to work independently
  • Efficiently manage a defined geographic territory
  • Must conduct self in an ethical, legal and responsible manner at all times
  • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate sound judgment in handling/resolving problems
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication with peers, clients, physicians, and other professionals
  • Ability to interact with physicians successfully
  • Attend monthly admin meetings
  • Attend monthly committee meetings
  • Must keep physician account profile current in utilized application.
  • Screen potential candidates for physician recruitment; determine compatibility, coordinate short or long-term recruitment; advertise and sales (secondary of position responsibilities)
  • Identify targeted physicians using effective recruitment methods. Identifies knowledge, skills and abilities needed by the hiring department (secondary of position responsibilities)
  • Presents opportunities to candidates for assigned specialties. Provides candidates with critical principles that describe potential career opportunities (secondary of position responsibilities)
  • Assigned accounts must be visited bi-weekly and utilized application must be updated with current notes
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum of two years client-facing experience required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to accommodate departmental scheduling requirements as needed
  • Able to work with senior leaders, management staff and employees at all levels
  • Able to work in a fast paced, productive work environment
  • MUST be a self-motivated, independent worker
  • MUST be able to work full time and overtime when necessary. Possibility of working some weekends.


Education:


  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business or Marketing (Preferred)
    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Hospital/Healthcare Administration (Preferred)


Requirements:

  • Department of Justice Background Check
  • Satisfactory Completion of Health/Drug Screening
  • Proof legal US work eligibility
  • Valid CA Class C Driver’s License


Working Conditions:


Primarily in an office environment. Will be expected to travel as needed to company subsidiaries, as well as to potential accounts to conduct due diligence. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.

We also offer paid bereavement leave in the event of a close family member passing away.
