Role Overview:


The PRT English Teacher will be responsible for teaching English to primary school students, focusing on building a strong foundation in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension. The teacher will create engaging lesson plans, foster creativity, and ensure overall language development in alignment with school curriculum and NEP 2020 guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Teach English to classes I–V, ensuring language proficiency and comprehension skills.

  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and activities to make learning interactive and student-centric.

  • Develop age-appropriate assignments, worksheets, and assessment tools.

  • Focus on phonics, grammar, vocabulary, creative writing, and spoken English.

  • Encourage reading habits through storytelling, recitation, and library activities.

  • Assess student progress through periodic tests, projects, and continuous evaluation.

  • Provide individual attention to students to support diverse learning needs.

  • Maintain discipline, classroom decorum, and a positive learning environment.

  • Collaborate with other subject teachers for integrated learning approaches.

  • Engage parents through PTMs and share student progress effectively.

  • Stay updated with modern teaching methodologies, NEP guidelines, and digital tools for teaching.



Requirements


Skills & Competencies:


  • Strong command of English language (spoken and written).

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Creative and innovative approach to teaching.

  • Familiarity with child psychology and age-appropriate pedagogy.

  • Tech-savvy with ability to use digital tools, smart boards, and e-learning platforms.


Qualification & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in English / Literature / Language Studies.

  • B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms).

  • 2–5 years of teaching experience at the primary level (CBSE/ICSE/IB/State Board schools).
