Job Description: PRT English Teacher

Location: The Gurukulam School, Gurugram
Position: Primary Teacher (PRT) – English
Department: Academics
Reports to: Academic Coordinator / Principal

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English subject to students of primary classes (Grades I to V) following the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/NCERT).
• Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with the school’s academic framework and learning outcomes.
• Create an engaging, positive, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to student learning and development.
• Evaluate student progress through regular assessments, assignments, projects, and class participation.
• Maintain accurate student records and provide feedback to parents during PTMs and as required.
• Support students’ holistic development by integrating co-curricular activities and value-based learning into lessons.
• Participate actively in school events, workshops, training, and staff meetings.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to plan interdisciplinary and cross-curricular activities.
• Ensure classroom discipline and promote ethical and cultural values among students.
• Use innovative teaching methods including audio-visual aids and digital tools to enhance learning outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Qualification:
• B.Ed. (mandatory) from a recognized university
• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a reputed CBSE/ICSE/State board school preferred.
