Social Studies is responsible for teaching foundational concepts in history, civics, geography, and social science to students of primary grades. The role focuses on building curiosity, cultural awareness, and critical-thinking skills among young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Studies curriculum as per school and board guidelines (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
- Design age-appropriate lesson plans, activities, and teaching materials.
- Introduce basic concepts of history, civics, and geography in engaging and student-friendly ways.
- Use storytelling, maps, charts, and digital tools to make learning interactive.
- Conduct assessments, projects, and class activities to track student progress.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and inquiry.
- Support holistic development through values education, teamwork, and cultural understanding.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and development.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, and co-curricular programs.
- Maintain student records and follow all academic and administrative procedures.

Qualifications
