Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and engaging PRT Social Science Teacher to teach Social Studies to Primary Classes (I–V), helping students understand the world around them through age-appropriate and activity-based learning.

Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Classroom Delivery

• Teach Social Studies (History, Civics, Geography, EVS basics) to Classes I–V following CBSE guidelines.
• Use interactive, story-based, and activity-driven methods to simplify concepts.
• Introduce students to topics such as family, community, maps, environment, good values, historical stories, basic geography, and social behaviour.
• Prepare engaging worksheets, classwork, activities, and assignments.

2. Lesson Planning & Academic Preparation

• Prepare structured lesson plans aligned with CBSE primary learning objectives.
• Use teaching aids, charts, models, videos, and real-life examples to strengthen understanding.
• Identify differing learning levels and provide remedial support when needed.

3. Classroom Management & Student Engagement

• Maintain a positive, student-friendly, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, observation, and discussion.
• Foster values such as teamwork, empathy, responsibility, and environmental awareness.

4. Assessment & Evaluation

• Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, oral tests, and activity-based evaluations.
• Track student progress and maintain detailed performance records.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and share updates with parents during PTMs.

5. School Participation & Responsibilities

• Participate in school assemblies, celebrations, academic events, and workshops.
• Contribute to Social Science-related programs like exhibitions, heritage activities, nature clubs, etc.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and coordinators for planning and academic improvement.

Qualifications & Eligibility

• Graduate in Social Science-related subjects (History/Geography/Political Science/Sociology) + D.El.Ed / B.Ed (as per CBSE norms).
• Experience teaching Social Studies at primary level preferred.
• Strong understanding of primary pedagogy and child development.
• Creative teaching approach with strong communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
