Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to support our growing patient population. This role is ideal for a provider who values meaningful patient relationships, high-quality documentation, and collaborative care. This can either be a W2 or 1099 independent contractor position, depending on interest and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for outpatient clients
• Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with medical best practices and Pennsylvania regulations
• Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation
• Order and review labs as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with a supervising/collaborating psychiatrist on complex cases
• Provide patient-centered care with strong emphasis on empathy, active listening, and respect
• Utilize the practice’s EMR system for documentation and scheduling
• Deliver care primarily via telehealth in a remote setting

Schedule & Workload

• Hybrid: Mornings in person at the facility. Afternoons flexible at home or at job site.
• 40 hours a week expected as part of a full-time schedule

Compensation

• $80–$100 per hour, based on experience
• Compensation structure tied to patient volume and billing
• Potential for future performance-based incentives or expanded compensation discussions as the role grows

Required Qualifications

• Active PMHNP license in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PMHNP (newer providers with strong confidence and training will be considered)
• Active DEA license
• Ability to practice under a collaborative physician agreement (existing relationship preferred)
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort with medication prescribing and management
• Excellent documentation habits
• High level of professionalism, reliability, and ethical conduct

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient psychiatry and/or telehealth
• Background working with a variety of psychiatric conditions, including substance use disorders
• Additional certification as an FNP (bonus, not required)
• Licensure in other states
