Job Overview

MHMATTERS365 is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient behavioral health practice. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and young adults through psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individualized treatment planning.

Our mission is to expand access to high-quality mental health care and support the emotional well-being of young individuals and their families. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative outpatient setting focused on early intervention, recovery, and long-term mental wellness.

Compensation

This position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor role with a 70/30 revenue split.

• Providers receive 70% of collected revenue

• MHMATTERS365 retains 30% to support administrative services, marketing, scheduling systems, credentialing, and practice infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults in an outpatient setting.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based clinical guidelines.

• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring effectiveness and adjusting treatment plans when clinically indicated.

• Provide psychoeducation, supportive therapy, and behavioral health counseling for patients and families.

• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, schools, therapists, and community providers to coordinate care and support patient progress.

• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, medication management, and coping strategies to promote recovery and resilience.

• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in electronic health record systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

• Participate in clinical consultations and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current PMHNP-BC certification with active state licensure or eligibility for licensure.

• Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric or behavioral health experience required.

• Experience providing care to children, adolescents, or young adults in outpatient behavioral health settings preferred.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and medication management for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and behavioral concerns.

• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems

• Experience providing telehealth services and familiarity with trauma-informed care practices is highly desirable.

• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and collaboration skills.
