Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients across various age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
  • Prescribe and manage medications such as psychopharmacology treatments, including antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and other psychiatric medications.
  • Provide psychotherapy services utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Document all clinical encounters accurately within electronic health record (EHR) while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.

Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC or equivalent).
  • Valid state licensure to practice as a nurse practitioner with psychiatric specialization.
  • Demonstrated experience in behavioral health settings with exposure to diverse populations including working with children.
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management.
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and medication management strategies.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to perform physical examinations when necessary.
  • Familiarity with telehealth Zoom platform for remote patient consultations is preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
