Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. Your Citywide Primary Collaborating Psychiatrist promotes up to date, evidence-based approaches and encourages active training with regular case discussions and didactics. We currently offer a hybrid service model, allowing providers to conduct the majority of sessions via telehealth while also maintaining in-person clinical care as required. Duties

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations, risk assessments, and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 coding standards.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including psychopharmacology treatments tailored to each patient's needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating therapy, medication management, and patient education.
• Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health care for remote or underserved populations.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects aimed at advancing psychiatric practices and patient safety.
• Offer crisis intervention and triage services for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes or emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and community resources.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current state licensure.
• Demonstrated experience in behavioral health settings with exposure to diverse populations including children, geriatrics, assisted living residents, or hospice patients.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and coding practices including CPT and ICD coding standards.
• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology principles, medication administration protocols, and medication management strategies.
• Experience working in various healthcare environments such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or emergency rooms.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote patient monitoring tools to deliver accessible mental health services.
• Ability to perform comprehensive physical examinations when necessary and utilize diagnostic evaluation tools effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining patient-centered care principles.
