Job Summary
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary team. We are incorporating the use of Keatmine
(sprovado) for the treatmernt of anxiety and depression. We have a colaborating physician in place as well as malpractice. New facility is set up and ready to begin. We need the right person and a few weeks to credential with insurance companies. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help improve mental health outcomes through evidence-based nasal medication or interventions, patient education, and collaborative care. Compensation is flexable with an opportunity for revenue sharing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic modalities.
- Prescribe and monitor medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and other psychiatric medications following best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, medication adherence, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks.
- Stay current with advances in psychiatric medicine by engaging in ongoing professional development and clinical research.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Valid state licensure and certification to practice as a PMHNP.
- Demonstrated experience with telehealth platforms and EMR/EHR systems
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and medication management protocols.
- Experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those in assisted living or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavioral health assessments, crisis intervention techniques, and triage procedures.
