About Us

Giesken Counseling Services is a collaborative outpatient mental health practice serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across Genesee and Oakland counties. We provide evidence-informed therapy and psychiatric medication management in a professional, judgment-free environment that prioritizes individualized care and clinical excellence. This is a 1099 Contractor Role.

Our licensed therapists and psychiatric providers work as an integrated team to support clients through both in-person and telehealth services. We are committed to fostering a collegial, provider-focused environment where psychiatric clinicians are supported in delivering high-quality, thoughtful, and sustainable care.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services. This role emphasizes diagnostic expertise, collaborative treatment planning, and continuity of care within an established outpatient therapy setting.

The ideal candidate values autonomy, clinical integrity, and interdisciplinary collaboration while maintaining a patient-centered approach to psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations across the lifespan
• Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with therapists to ensure coordinated, integrated care
• Monitor and manage Schedule II–V medications in accordance with Michigan regulations
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the EMR
• Maintain active Malpractice Insurance
• Provide services via both in-person and secure telehealth platforms

Qualifications

• MSN, DNP, or PhD from an accredited program
• PMHNP-BC certification (ANCC required)
• Active Michigan RN and APRN licensure
• Active DEA registration
• Must maintain active professional liability insurance (malpractice insurance)
• 2+ Years as a PMHNP preferred
• Proficiency with EMR systems, telehealth platforms, and e-prescribing

Schedule

Monday–Friday schedule

Full-time position with scheduling flexibility

Location

Primary location: 1309 S. Linden Rd., Ste. C Flint Township, MI. We also have a need in our other locations; Grand Blanc location at 8285 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc, MI 48439 & 8949 Dixie Hwy Clarkston, MI 48348

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
