Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. Duties

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk assessments.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans aligned with best practices.
• Provide psychotherapy interventions tailored to individual needs, utilizing evidence-based modalities.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up appointments, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medication management, and coping strategies to foster recovery and resilience.
• Document all clinical encounters accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with valid state licensure.
• DEA Licensure
• Preferably Full Authority Licensure

Skills

• Demonstrated experience in behavioral health settings with exposure to diverse populations including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management.
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles, medication administration protocols, and medication management strategies.
• Strong assessment skills with the ability to perform physical examinations when necessary; knowledge of vital signs and physiology is essential.
• Experience working in acute care environments such as hospitals or emergency rooms is highly desirable.

Hiring: 1 Full-Time and 1 Part-Time
