The position will begin as part-time as we transition care following the departure of a current therapist. However, there is strong opportunity for growth into a full-time role as patient volume continues to expand.

Are you passionate about supporting individuals on their journey to improved mental health? Summit Health & Pain is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing interdisciplinary behavioral health team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to provide meaningful care, contribute to innovative treatment approaches, and work in a supportive environment that values patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive mental health care by diagnosing, developing treatment plans, and managing medications for patients.
  • Focus on delivering high-quality care and ensuring patient satisfaction as part of an interdisciplinary behavioral health team.
  • Primarily treat adult patients (ages 18–60), with occasional care for children and adolescents as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Summit Health & Pain providers to a collaboraitve and positive therapy plan related for our patients, and a positive relationship with other providers driven to care for patients.
  • Utilize our EHR system efficiently and maintain strong written and verbal communication skills to build lasting clinical rapport with patients.
  • Assist in addressing complex cases by working alongside the Summit team to develop innovative long-term care solutions.
  • Work closely with providers to develop and coordinate patient care plans that support mental health needs alongside their ongoing pain management treatments or therapies.

Qualifications

  • A genuine passion for helping patients overcome mental health challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the best treatment options available.
  • Proficiency and comfort with telemedicine technologies for both intake and follow-up appointments.
  • Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program (required).
  • A minimum of 1-3 year of PMHNP experience (required).
  • Active, full, and unrestricted PMHNP licensure in the state of practice and an active state DEA license (required).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Job Type: Begin as part-time with opportunity for full-time role as patient volume grows!
  • Pay Range: $95,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
