We collaborate with assisted living facilities and residential centers throughout New York to improve residents’ quality of life through comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management.

Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant with strong psychiatric training to provide on-site care to residents at a partnered assisted living facility. This is a part-time, independent contractor (1099) position; ideal for a provider who values flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful clinical work.

You’ll visit the facility 1–2 days per week to manage psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, dementia, and all related behaviors, and other common mental health needs among older adults.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management sessions
• Collaborate with facility staff and primary care teams
• Document all encounters in compliance with state and Medicare guidelines
• Provide supportive care, education, and guidance to residents and caregivers

Additional Possibilities

In addition to working with assisted living and residential housing communities, we also see the general public for medication management, working with local hospitals, referring practices, and the like. We are looking to expand this side of our practice as well, and we are looking for a professional, thorough provider that can assist in the growth.

Requirements

• Active New York license as PMHNP, APN, or PA
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority
• Active Malpractice Insurance
• Psychiatric experience (geriatric or long-term care preferred)
• Reliable transportation to the assisted living facility
• Professionalism, empathy, and self-motivation

Schedule

• Part-time: 1–2 days per week (weekday hours, flexible schedule)
• Independent contractor (1099)
