Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing appointment schedules, coordinating patient care, and ensuring efficient operations within a behavioral health office setting. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in various electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and a solid understanding of medical, behavioral and medication terminology and coding.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate patient appointments efficiently using EMR systems Simple Practice
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
- Manage and work with prescription software RXNT.
- Conduct documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.
- Provide exceptional patient service through effective phone etiquette and interpersonal communication.
- Assist with clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Support front desk operations by managing multi-line phone systems and greeting patients upon arrival.
- Utilize computer skills to maintain scheduling software and update patient information as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a behavioral health office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10) and terminology is essential.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for enhanced patient communication.
- Strong typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are required.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or health information management is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
