Psychiatrist (1099) – High Revenue Split + Program Development Opportunity

Prime Counseling Services has been serving the community since 2021, with locations in Plymouth, Trenton, and Wixom. We are a growing, collaborative group practice focused on coordinated, high-quality mental health care across disciplines.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to provide outpatient psychiatric services while offering clinical input as we expand our psychiatry offerings.

This is an opportunity to step into a flexible, well-supported environment with strong earning potential and the ability to shape psychiatric services without administrative burden.

Compensation

  • 70% fee-for-service revenue
  • Additional 10% revenue for supervising Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants
  • $2,500 Program Development Stipend for initial review, input, and approval of clinical workflows and documentation

Earning potential is highly variable based on caseload, with many providers exceeding $200,000+ annually.

Role Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
  • Provide medication management and follow-up care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Collaborate with therapists and other providers to ensure coordinated care
  • Utilize telehealth platforms as appropriate

Program Development (Limited Scope)

  • Review and approve existing templates, workflows, and documentation
  • Provide clinical input on psychiatric service delivery
  • Offer guidance on best practices as services expand

Administrative team will support implementation and operational setup.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with specialization in Psychiatry
  • Active and unrestricted medical license (Michigan)
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with outpatient psychiatric care preferred
  • Comfort with telehealth platforms
  • Strong clinical and communication skills

Schedule

  • Flexible, self-determined schedule
  • Part-time or full-time options available
  • No required minimum caseload

Pay: $180,000.00 - $350,000.00 per year
