Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy, across diverse patient populations. This role involves working in outpatient and inpatient settings, utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy. The Psychiatrist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Experience with pediatric psychiatry, working with individuals with developmental disabilities, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and telehealth services is highly valued. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients across various age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and behavioral health interventions.
  • Provide medication management and monitor patient responses to prescribed treatments.
  • Deliver psychotherapy modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and crisis management techniques.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards and hospital policies.
  • Participate in intake procedures, patient follow-ups, and ongoing case management to ensure continuity of care.
  • Engage in data collection for clinical research or quality improvement initiatives when applicable.
  • Stay current with advancements in psychiatry, including diagnostic evaluation methods and new psychotropic medications.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
  • Post-residency experience in behavioral health or psychiatry practice is preferred.
  • Proven expertise in pediatric psychiatry, Geriatrics, addiction counseling, PTSD care, or working with developmental disabilities is advantageous.
  • Experience with hospital-based psychiatry, outpatient clinics, telehealth platforms, and inpatient settings is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, mental health counseling techniques, diagnostic evaluation tools, and psychopharmacology.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation standards and electronic medical records systems.
  • Ability to manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient assessment and interdisciplinary collaboration.
