Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop individualized treatment plans that align with the client’s goals, clinical needs, and best practices.
  • Provide medication management services, including prescribing, titrating, and monitoring psychotropic medications for effectiveness, side effects, and adherence.
  • Conduct ongoing psychiatric follow-up appointments to assess progress, adjust medications, and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Offer psychoeducation to clients and families about diagnoses, medications, potential side effects, and treatment options.
  • Collaborate closely with therapists, psychiatric rehabilitation staff, case managers, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) according to organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultations when appropriate to support integrated care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed, including safety planning and referrals to higher levels of care when appropriate.
  • Stay current with evidence-based psychiatric practices, state regulations, and professional standards through ongoing education and training.
Qualifications:

    • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Active Maryland medical license.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
  • Minimum 1 year of outpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive PRN compensation.
  • Flexible, as-needed scheduling.
  • Supportive, collaborative multidisciplinary team.
  • Opportunities to work with diverse populations and expand clinical experience.
