About Helping Others Manage Emotions Therapeutic Services (H.O.M.E):
H.O.M.E is a mission-driven behavioral health organization dedicated to providing high-quality, client-centered care to underserved communities. We offer outpatient mental health services, psychiatric rehabilitation, therapy, and substance use disorder services. We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis — focused solely on client care, with minimal supervisory duties.
Position Summary:
The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care to children, adolescents, and/or adults on a flexible, as-needed basis. Supervisory duties include reviewing NPs documentation and providing education as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for clients of all ages (children, adolescents, adults) as scheduled.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that align with the client’s goals, clinical needs, and best practices.
- Provide medication management services, including prescribing, titrating, and monitoring psychotropic medications for effectiveness, side effects, and adherence.
- Conduct ongoing psychiatric follow-up appointments to assess progress, adjust medications, and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Offer psychoeducation to clients and families about diagnoses, medications, potential side effects, and treatment options.
- Collaborate closely with therapists, psychiatric rehabilitation staff, case managers, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) according to organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultations when appropriate to support integrated care.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed, including safety planning and referrals to higher levels of care when appropriate.
- Stay current with evidence-based psychiatric practices, state regulations, and professional standards through ongoing education and training.
Qualifications:- Psychiatrist

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Active Maryland medical license.
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly within a team environment.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills.
