Job Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate, experienced psychiatrist to join our clinic. You will be responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing or ruling out mental disorders, prescribing treatments, and conducting regular follow-up appointments to monitor the patient's progress.

Responsibilities:
- Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, medical histories, observations, and psychological testing
- Analyze data and results of assessments to diagnose patients & assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients
- Conduct therapy sessions and group activities to support patients' mental health and well-being as well as provide patients with emotional support and strategies to help manage their disorder.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, behaviors, and responses to treatment
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and complete all necessary clincial documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a mental health and SUD setting is REQUIRED
- Knowledge of psychotherapy techniques and mental health and SUD counseling principles
- Familiarity with medical documentation and record keeping procedures
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals with mental health disorders and Substance Addictions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Education:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency
- Current and valid Board of Psychiatry certification and state license.
- Licensed to practice medicine in state of California
