The Role
Vantage Mental Health is a clinician-led nonprofit outpatient practice, built by clinicians who love this work and wanted a better place to do it. We are focused exclusively on our mission to provide excellent patient care and support the professionals who do it. We are opening a new multidisciplinary clinic in Maple Grove and are looking for a psychiatrist to join the team and provide direct patient care with the option of more site leadership if desired.

Your work will take place in a truly multidisciplinary environment. The team includes other co-located and virtual physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, testing psychologists, and therapists. Our culture of collaboration allows for not only case consultation but a large referral network that includes specialty services such as specific therapy offerings, interventional psychiatry such as TMS and ketamine treatment, and psychological testing services.

We offer therapy, psychiatry, TMS, and other services within a collaborative and multidisciplinary model. We are not backed by private equity and are not owned by any person or group. Our decisions are guided by our mission and our people, not by productivity targets or profit margins. Vantage operates clinic locations in Stillwater, Saint Anthony, and Edina, with telehealth across Minnesota. We have some providers licensed to practice in Wisconsin who see patients located there virtually.
The Role in Detail
We are seeking a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management at our new Maple Grove clinic. The physical location is scheduled to open October 1, 2026. Virtual patient care may start before this time. This is a role that requires in-person time in Maple Grove with hybrid flexibility and state-wide telehealth availability.
At Vantage, psychiatrists are viewed as leaders. As one of the first physicians hired for the clinic, you will help establish the culture of psychiatric care provided at our new multidisciplinary clinic. We are open to an adult, child and adolescent, special population, or lifespan-focus psychiatrist as dictated by your training and interests. This role is an especially strong fit for a psychiatrist who is interested or experienced in interventional psychiatry, including TMS and ketamine treatment, and we can provide training.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing psychiatric services when deemed appropriate after assessment.

Prioritize accurate diagnosis and thoughtful, evidence-based treatment planning.

Develop and adjust treatment plans collaboratively with clients and the care team.

Help establish strong clinical workflows and standards at a new clinic.

Maintain timely and complete documentation and billing of services provided.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, and therapists, drawing on the full range of Vantage services, including therapy and interventional psychiatry such as TMS and ketamine treatment, so clients receive integrated care.

Optionally grow into the Site Medical Director role, partnering with the Clinic Director on medical leadership for the clinic.

Keep accurate, timely documentation consistent with ethical and legal standards.

Take part in staff meetings, case consultation, and professional development.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO with successful completion of ACGME-accredited adult psychiatry residency

Adult Psychiatry board certified or eligible.

Optional additional board certifications and training based on applicant interest
- Active Minnesota medical license and DEA registration, or eligibility.

Interest or experience in interventional psychiatry, including TMS and ketamine treatment, with a willingness to train fully in these modalities.

Comfort working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that includes multiple provider types.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a steady commitment to knowledge growth, ethics in practice, and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to navigate healthcare delivery technology including electronic health records, virtual patient visits, email, electronic signatures, and Microsoft Teams
