View Point Health proudly provides outpatient treatment to children, adolescents and adults. We promote overall health and quality of life through treatment services (evidenced-based therapies and medication management) that reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance abuse for individuals, youth and families.
The Psychiatrist is responsible for providing psychiatric services to adults, children and adolescents experiencing mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders. Services may be provided face-to-face or via telehealth (as regulations permit) and include diagnostic evaluations, assessments, and ongoing medication management.
The provider is responsible for ensuring appropriate psychiatric and pharmacological interventions are provided and is expected to collaborate effectively with the treatment team to ensure the best possible client outcomes.
Under general supervision, provides comprehensive medical services by examining patients, diagnosing conditions, and providing treatments. Directs nurses, aides and others in the care and treatment of patients.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Reports to Center Director, with oversight by Medical Director.
- Promote a Team Approach, work collaboratively with other medical providers, nurses, clinical and clerical teams.
- Demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, and a positive and flexible attitude; must respond well to changing and rapidly shifting program needs.
- Effectively communicate with people of all educational and cultural backgrounds.

Engages easily with clients and families imparts a professional and non-judgmental attitude.
- Possess thorough knowledge of diagnostic psychiatric assessments and utilizes best practices in treating clients with SPMI diagnoses, Development Disabilities and/or substance use disorders.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and are proficient in the use of computers and electronic medical records.

Have strong time-management skills, completes documentation within 24-hour agency deadlines, maximize scheduling to allow for 80% billing of time worked; is open to seeing walk-ins for other med providers.
