Under supervision, the Purchasing Coordinator will provide professional level category support in a variety of procurement activities. Provide assistance in on-going category and vendor performance management.</div><br>

Duties</b><b> </b><b>&amp;</b><b> </b><b>Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul><li>
Research and identify potential suppliers and vendors.</li><li>
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.</li><li>
Maintain strong, positive relationships with suppliers.</li><li>
 Manage the supplier database, including contact and pricing information.</li><li>
Evaluate supplier performance and address and issues.</li><li>
Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders.</li><li>
Ensure purchase orders are accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner.</li><li>
Monitor inventory levels and place orders to replenish stock as needed.</li><li>
Track the status of orders and deliveries, ensuring on-time arrival.</li><li>
Coordinate with internal departments to forecast future needs and manage stock</li><li>
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all purchasing activities.</li><li>
Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies with orders or deliveries.</li><li>
Verify invoices for accuracy and assist with payment processing.</li><li>
Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and cost analysis.</li><li>
Analyze market trends and company data to identify cost-saving opportunities.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations</li><li>
Other related duties as assigned.</li></ul></div></div><p></p><div><div><br>
<p><b>
Minimum</b><b> </b><b>Qualifications:</b></p>
<p>
Associate degree in accounting or business, or a directly related field and from an accredited college or university; or technical diploma in accounting or business and one (1) year job related experience in a procurement environment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower-level Procurement agent Trainee (FEP019) or Procurement technician (FET112) or position equivalent.</p><br>

Note: </b>Some may positions require Georgia Procurement Manual area specific certifications(s).</p><br>
<p></p>
<p><b>
Preferred</b><b> </b><b>Qualifications:</b></p>
<ul><li>
Experience with Team Georgia Marketplace and Statewide contracts with Department of Administrative Services (DOAS).</li></ul></div></div><p></p><div><div><br>
<p><b>
Requirements/Competencies:</b></p>
<ul><li>
Must be able to lift 20 pounds,</li><li>
Requires long periods of sitting/standing.</li><li>
Must be 21 years of age,</li><li>
Must have valid Georgia driver&rsquo;s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.</li><li>
Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).</li><li>
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.</li></ul><br>
