Psychiatrist- part-time weekends

We are seeking a psychiatrist to support a geriatric psychiatric unit in the greater Los Angeles area. As a psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing health care services for patients with behavioral and mental health conditions.

Scope of work: Onsite adult mental health services for a geriatric psychiatric inpatient unit. This is a weekend rounding role with a minimal workload seeing 5 - 10 patients. You will be onsite 1-2 hours per day.

Compensation: $900 per day

Skills:

• Strong psychiatric evaluation skills to assess mental health conditions accurately
• Experience working in an inpatient environment with diverse patient populations
• Diagnose individuals based on psychiatric evaluation, and develop treatment plans

Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments of patients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Offer therapy and behavioral health interventions
• Collect and maintain accurate patient data for treatment monitoring
• Provide medication management

Requirements:

• Must be Board Certified in psychiatry
• CA Medical License (MD/DO)
• Active CA DEA
• Must have current inpatient experience in an acute care facility within the last 60 days.
