Position Overview

Zalfi is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care via telehealth. This is a fully remote 1099 contract position serving patients located in Indiana.

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning. The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, experience in psychiatric care, and the ability to work independently in a telepsychiatry setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments
• Diagnose mental health conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide medication management and monitor treatment efficacy and side effects
• Deliver telepsychiatry services using secure virtual platforms
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when appropriate
• Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in psychiatric care

Qualifications

• Active Indiana Nurse Practitioner license
• Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN or higher)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in psychiatric-mental health settings preferred
• Strong clinical management and patient assessment skills
• Experience with medication management
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting

Preferred Experience

• Outpatient psychiatry
• Telehealth / telepsychiatry
• Substance use disorder (SUD) treatment or MAT
