What You’ll Do:
As a Juvenile Court Psychologist, you will conduct court-ordered evaluations, provide expert consultation, and support judicial decision-making in matters involving children, adolescents, and families.
- Perform court-ordered evaluations in Care and Protection, Child Requiring Assistance, Delinquency, and Youthful Offender cases
- Conduct emergency and civil commitment evaluations related to psychiatric hospitalization and substance use commitments
- Participate in the Certified Juvenile Court Clinician (CJCC) training and certification process
- Provide consultation and liaison services to judges, probation officers, attorneys, and court personnel
- Collaborate with families, schools, community providers, and state agencies to support treatment and service recommendations
- Prepare clear, comprehensive written reports and maintain court-compliant documentation
- Testify in legal proceedings as required by the Court
- Participate in forensic trainings, statewide initiatives, and professional development activities
- Travel between courts and program locations as needed
Who You Are:
- Doctorate in Psychology required
- Licensed Psychologist and Health Service Provider in Massachusetts, or license-eligible with licensure obtained within 9 months of hire
- Eligible to become a Certified Juvenile Court Clinician (CJCC) Level I and II
- Minimum of one year of experience working with children and families required
- Strong understanding of child development and developmental approaches to evaluation and treatment
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary environments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
