Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Student Engagement
- Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate interactive classroom sessions in areas such as General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Applied Psychology.
- Design and implement effective lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools.
- Apply real-world examples, case studies, and technology-enhanced methods to foster student engagement.
- Create a learning environment that promotes critical thinking, ethical practice, collaboration, and meaningful participation.
2. Student Mentorship & Academic Support
- Provide mentorship and academic guidance, including support for research projects, internships, practical labs, and career planning.
- Evaluate student progress through various assessment formats, offering constructive feedback.
- Address academic inquiries and support students in overcoming learning challenges.
3. Curriculum Development & Academic Alignment
- Contribute to the development and refinement of Psychology curriculum to reflect evolving research, applied practice, and global best practices.
- Infuse contemporary psychological research, evidence-based practices, and practical applications into coursework.
- Collaborate with peers and academic coordinators to enhance interdisciplinary and experiential learning approaches.
4. Research & Scholarly Contribution
- Conduct and publish research in relevant areas of Psychology.
- Supervise student research projects, theses, and academic initiatives.
- Actively participate in academic conferences, workshops, and collaborative research efforts.
5. Academic Administration & Governance
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional planning activities.
- Maintain accurate academic records including attendance, grading, and course documentation.
- Support quality assurance, accreditation efforts, and compliance with institutional policies and standards.
Qualifications & Skills RequiredEducational Requirements
- Minimum: Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Preferred: Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
Experience & Expertise
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level.
- Expertise in one or more areas such as Clinical, Counseling, Educational, Developmental, Cognitive, or Organizational Psychology.
- Applied psychology experience and involvement in curriculum or program development is an advantage.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation, classroom management, and student engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in educational technology tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and productivity software.
- Commitment to research, continuous learning, and student success.
