Summary:
-
Provides psychological evaluation and treatment services as directed and under supervision of a licensed LGH psychologist to inpatients and outpatients. Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: pediatric (30 days through 12 years), adolescent (13 through 18 years), adult (19 through 64 years), and geriatric (65 years and above).
Responsibilities:

Provides psychological testing/evaluation services for outpatients as assigned and completes summary reports of assessments to the referral source within one week of completing the assessment.

Provides psychological therapies to outpatients as assigned. Always provides patient progress reports to referral source as indicated.

Provides psychological testing/evaluation consultations and interventions to medical/surgical inpatients as requested or assigned within 24 hours and clearly documents findings and recommendations in the medical record.

Completes required forms and documents all patient contacts in the outpatient and inpatient medical record in order to provide a continually up-to-date assessment of patient status.

Regularly participate in treatment team and departmental meetings.

Regularly participate in education and in-service training opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. (Required)

Education Specialization: Completion of all academic coursework required for Ph.D. or Psy.D., preferably from an APA accredited psychology program.

A minimum of 400 hours of doctoral level practicum experience.

Certification by doctoral program director of readiness for doctoral internship.

A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs, i.e. not excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal or state health insurance program.
