Psychology Teacher

Position : Counsellor (Psychology Teacher) Female

Position Overview :

School counselors work in educational settings, providing direct support to students and collaborating with staff and families. They may also engage in community outreach to connect students with additional resources. School Counselors play a crucial role in the development of students, providing them with academic, career, college access/affordability/admission, and social-emotional competencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges. This includes listening to students concerns and offering guidance to help them resolve issues.
  • Develop and implement school counseling programs that promote students academic and personal growth. This includes creating workshops and seminars on topics such as bullying, drug abuse, and peer pressure.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and school administrators to create a supportive environment for students. This involves coordinating with other professionals to address students needs effectively.
  • Provide immediate support during crisis situations, helping students navigate emergencies or conflicts. This may involve mediating disputes or referring students to external mental health resources.
  • Track students academic performance and behavior, identifying those who may need additional support. Counselors help set realistic academic and career goals for students.
  • Advocate for students rights and needs within the school system, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Masters in Counselling Psychology or School Counselling.

2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience preferred as a School Counsellor.

3. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

4. Familiarity with school systems, compliance procedures, and government regulations.

5. Proficiency in MS Office.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 12 per week

  • Clinical counseling: 3 years (Required)
