Summary
Oversee and conduct psychological/neuropsychological testing of adult patients. Coordinate collection of clinical research data, and train graduate students and residents in evaluation procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform psychological/neuropsychological testing of adult patients.
Evaluate, accurately score and summarize tests administered to patients.
Maintain testing supplies.
Manage research and clinical data, and coordinate patient schedules.
Train graduate students and residents in evaluation procedures.
Interview patients and patient care givers as directed, and consult with other professionals to assist in recognition of treatment obstacles.
Write reports, summaries and/or case histories as necessary.
Perform literature searches and research reviews, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge – Skills – Abilities
Knowledge of biology, clinical judgment, medicine, cultural awareness, and consulting.
Medical documentation, interpersonal, practice-based learning and improvement, empathy, and decision making skills.
Qualifications
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Experience: Neuropsychological testing experience strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials.
Work Environment
Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
Sensory Acuity
Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
