The individual in this position will lead the USMCA forward model compliance planning team. This team is focused on developing forward program study processes, tools, and cross-functional RASIC to ensure all forward model programs progress through compliance to USMCA at the appropriate program approval gateways.


You'll have...

  • Bachelor of Science / Engineering or Supply Chain and Logistics or Academic Equivalent
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills are required; Experience in systems such as SPCPS / SAC / GCP / MCVP / AVBOM preferred
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead development of new tools / dashboards with support from GDIA
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to develop and present key material to both immediate and senior leadership as required
  • Candidate must have strong collaboration skills to be able to work with a cross-functional team
  • Ability to collaborate on-site 4 days per week in Dearborn

  • Cycle Planning and FPV Data Utilization
  • Part Release, Sourcing, and/or Codification process knowledge or experience
  • Experience in the New Model and GPDS program approval cadence
  • Basic Understanding of Manufacturing Footprint both for VO and Powertrain as well as the developing internal capability for EV commodities

What you'll do...

  • Provide oversight for USMCA Compliance for forward model programs, including but not limited to:

o Sourcing and Compliance Metrics

o Gateway Compliance Assessment process including the financial implications of any deviation

  • Develop a strong knowledge of USMCA regulatory requirements and Tarif Codes to ultimately lead and educate across the enterprise
  • Lead development of a toolset to forecast compliance
  • Lead and interface with cross functional teams including PD / Program Management / Purchasing / Internal Customs Department
  • Leadership within New Program Teams developing sourcing strategy and mix forecasts that ensure adherence to ongoing USMCA
  • Develop a good working knowledge of the Manufacturing footprint, both assembly and powertrain, and purchasing sourcing strategy to align
  • Align critical stake holders around the program objectives and create a strategy and sourcing plan that ensures compliance as well as program EBIT Targets and affordability.
  • Ability to move tactical day to day workload to strategic and automated strategies and processes
  • Ability to support non-standard work hours and availability when required to support Global organization
