Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Permit to Work (PTW) Technician to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring safe and efficient operations by managing the PTW system, a vital component of our risk management and operational excellence framework.
Tasks and Responsibilities:

Oversee the issuance, revalidation, and closeout of permits, ensuring timely and accurate coordination.

Receive, file, and manage work permits, complementary permits, and isolation certificates, ensuring all required signatures are completed and properly documented.

Monitor and review work permits as per operational requirements and directives from the Production and Maintenance Superintendent, ensuring compliance with established procedures.

Assess and resolve potential conflicts between work requests to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Verify that all work permits are correctly filled out, correspond to specific work orders, and include the required complementary permits.

Actively participate in daily PTW meeting and provide necessary inputs of each PTW to facilitate safe and efficient operations.

Control the number of hot work permits issued to adhere to site-specific safety limits.

Ensure that copies of permits are displayed or filed at designated locations and are readily accessible for audits and reviews.

Regularly audit the PTW system to verify compliance with company policies, PTW procedures requirements, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Coordinate with the HSE Lead to deliver training on the PTW process to site operational personnel, ensuring thorough understanding and compliance with safety procedures.

Ensure that all personnel involved in the PTW process, including permit requesters, approvers and workers are adequately trained and competent in the PTW procedures.

Conduct Work Permit Procedure briefings for contractors and visitors to ensure awareness and compliance with safety standards.

Collaborate with the Shift Supervisor to coordinate equipment preparation for maintenance based on work permits.

Utilize the electronic PTW system to generate and submit daily reports on open and closed permits, conflicts, and compliance issues, ensuring accurate and real-time data for operational oversight and decision-making.

Continuously ensure that all PTW related processes comply with the company PTW procedures.

Maximise ICV during the Project phase ensuring that the local production/ maintenance personnel are adequately trained for operations.

Prepare reports on the status of his activities, highlighting any areas of concern.

Ensure Company rules and specifications are implemented throughout the project for all production and maintenance topics.
Qualifications and Experience:

A diploma in engineering, safety management, or a related technical field is often preferred. Relevant fields include mechanical, electrical, or process engineering.

Certified PTW.

Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing or operating a Permit to Work (PTW) system, including issuing, reviewing, and monitoring work permits.

Experience in similar position (years): 4+ years of experience in oil and gas, LNG, petrochemicals, or power plants.
